Data Visualization
SCOPE
With the big data decades coming, analysis on data science in cyberspace becomes more and more complex. For applications in the real world, data are heterogeneous, high-dimensional and dynamic, which brings challenge in data processing and makes it even difficult to analysis. Data Visualization combines advantages in data processing and visual sensing of both human and computer, and provides us intuitional understanding of data. This workshop, collocated with the 2nd IEEE International Conference on Data Science in Cyberspace (IEEE DSC2017), will bring big data producers and users together with visualization researchers and practitioners, and foster great exchanges between them. Attendees will be introduced to the latest and greatest research innovations in data visualization, and also learn how these innovations may impact decision making and knowledge discovery in real-world applications. We solicit papers on both original research and practice of data visualization and analysis.
WORKSHOP AREAS
Suggested topics include but are not restricted to:
1.Visual Analytics of High-dimensional data
2.Complex Network Visualization
3.Scientific and Information Visualization
4.Visual Representation and Interaction
5.Perception and Cognition of Visual Information
6.Analytical Reasoning and Visualization on Big Data
7.Advanced Technologies and Applications for Cyberspace Data Visualization
8.Visual Analytics Processes and Workflows
9.Construction of visual analysis system
10.Scalable parallel visualization methods
11.Advanced hardware and architecture for data visualization and analysis
PAPER SUBMISSION
Submitted papers should not have been previously published nor be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. The papers should be prepared in English and submitted in PDF format (For detailed requirements and template, please visit http://www.ieee-dsc.org/2017/CallForPapers.html). All accepted papers will appear in the proceedings of the IEEE DSC2017 conference. If accepted, at least one of the authors must attend the workshop to present the work.
